One of ANC’s long-term clients is the District of Columbia government. ANC engineers have been an integral part of the team that designed the DC government’s fiber-optic network contributing to the highly successful MPLS-based Metro Ethernet network serving over 30,000 users.
Datacenter Design & Implementation – ANC engineers, took a lead role in the architecture, design, and implementation of redundant data centers for the District of Columbia. ANC engineers supported all District-owned Cloud server infrastructure and citywide applications. This effort involved implementing the latest networking equipment including Cisco Nexus switch families, ASR 9000 Series routers, Cisco 7600/6800/6500 Series Routers, in conjunction with F5 load balancers and Juniper SRX, Juniper SSL VPN, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls, and Palo Alto IPS/IDS security equipment.
Logistics and Supply Subject Matter Expertise – ANC provided SME consulting services to assist the Center for Disease Control and Radiological Health (CDRH’s) Office of Strategic Partnerships and Technology Innovation (OST) related to the FDA’s response to COVID-19. Tasks included collecting and analyzing supply chain data, drafting reports and plans, providing sourcing information, suggesting policy guidelines, and analyzing interagency cooperation to optimize the response of the FDA during both the current pandemic and potential future events.
