Datacenter Design & Implementation
ANC engineers had a lead role in the architecture, design, and implementation of redundant data centers for the District of Columbia. ANC engineers supported all District-owned Cloud server infrastructure and citywide applications. This effort involved implementing the latest networking equipment including Cisco Nexus switch families, ASR 9000 Series routers, and Cisco 7600/6800/6500 Series Routers in conjunction with F5 load balancers and Juniper SRX, Juniper SSL VPN, Checkpoint Firewalls, Cisco ASA firewalls, and Palo Alto IPS/IDS security equipment.
Logistics and Supply Chain Program Management
ANC provided a unique combination of process, program and supply chain expertise to assist the Center for Disease Control and Radiological Health (CDRH’s) Office of Strategic Partnerships and Technology Innovation (OST) in it’s response to the COVID pandemic. Expertise was needed to analyze logistics related to supply chain management, procurement and distribution of medical supplies and devices as well as shortage assessment and mitigation. ANC Program Managers and supply chain SMEs rapidly joined the CDRH team. Our experts supported the development of new processes and operating models and provided expert counsel regarding privacy and protection policy.
Digital Transformation
The City of Virginia Beach experienced a surge in population and was finding it difficult to effectively manage more than 1400 information technology devices and provide the necessary maintenance and procurement support as well as needed to provide faster and better service delivery. ANC provided project management and technical consulting services to design and implement the enterprise IT service management solution, ServiceNow. ServiceNow discovered, managed and provided troubleshooting to existing devices. It also enabled easy access to the IT organization’s goods and services catalog and knowledge management base for user-driven ordering and problem solving.
Cyber Security Analysis & Improvement
The City of Virginia Beach sought critical expertise regarding the configuration of its network security posture. The requirement included a rapid analysis as well as a clearly defined implementation plan. ANC conducted external and internal penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations and remediation plans. ANC was able to exploit the critical vulnerabilities on the network and internal/external database and applications. ANC worked with the City to remediate found issues to avoid potential future cyber attacks on the city.
